Mario Puzo (October 15, 1920 – July 2, 1999) was an American creator known for his made-up books all about a Mafia.
Puzo was innate into the personal of Sicilian immigrants living in the "Hell's Kitchen" neighborhood of New York City. Several of his books draw heavy on this Sicilian heritage. He joined a United States Army Air Force in World War II and was stationed in Asia and Germany. His number 1 book, Dark Arena was published in 1955.
His best known operate, The Godfather, was first published around 1969 after hearing anecdotes of Mafia organisations during his period inside bonding resins journalism.
A Godfather was late developed into the trilogy of popular and extremely acclaimed films directed by Francis Ford Coppola released in 1972, 1974 and 1990. Additionally to co-writing a screenplay using Coppola, Puzo was also required with writing a disaster film Earthquake and 1978's Superman: The Movie.
